Trail Blazer Brand Analysis *
One of my favorite assignments so far at the University of Oregon was Brand Analysis for my SBUS 456: Sports Brand Management class. As someone who has lived in Portland most of my life, I chose to analyze the Trail Blazers brand, focusing on their identity in the sports community. My group and I researched the brand and developed alternative jersey concepts and game-day promotion ideas. This assignment allowed me to dive deep into one of the Northwest’s most iconic franchises, looking not only at their current impact but also at how they can extend their reach in both the Northwest and NBA communities.
Diversity in Media Scrapbook
This work sample was for my Gender & Diversity Media class. I chose to include this as I believe Kendrick Lamar makes such complex music that I think it’s very important to analyze his work. I am a huge fan of his music, and I think the messages and meanings behind his music are essential for people to understand. My analysis of his song, The Blacker the Berry, gave me insight into some of the struggles that the African American community experiences in America.
